This artwork was created by the original students of Newcastle Campus. It was a response to their study of the artwork of Vik Munoz, who used garbage from a Rio de Janeiro landfill for his famous photographic artworks and the industrial heritage of their city, Newcastle. It is an “Assemblage” created with packaging left over from the initial deliveries of furniture and other items to Newcastle campus. It reflects the new beginnings for the students, the Newcastle campus building and the city which surrounds them.
