My artwork is a creation of my inspiration and my identity, it revolves around the Barkindji country, my country. It inspires me to go home, to dance and celebrate the creation of the people we are around. To also celebrate the animals, the dirt, the sky and the sun. Dancing around the fire in groups. It teaches us to appreciate the land that we live in. The word yindimurra is an example of going slowly, being respectful and speaking softly in a quiet tone of voice to show elders and youngen’s that you are kind and a respectful person.
